Purpose
Get Ready is committed to providing inclusive and accessible educational and leadership
development services. We strive to ensure that individuals with disabilities are treated with
dignity and independence and are able to access our programs and services equitably both in
facilitated exercises and through our websites, online training and digital platforms.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, facilitators, and representatives of Get Ready in
the delivery of programs and services, including digital platforms and virtual environments.
Commitment
Get Ready is committed to meeting applicable accessibility requirements under relevant
provincial and federal legislation, including the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
(AODA), where applicable.
Accessible Service Delivery
- Digital Accessibility
Get Ready delivers programming primarily through digital platforms. We aim to use
platforms that support accessibility features such as captioning, screen reader
compatibility, and adjustable display settings. - Communication
Upon request, we will work with participants to provide accessible formats, and
communication supports where reasonably practicable. - Accommodation
Get Ready will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the needs of individuals with
disabilities to ensure equitable participation in our programs. - Feedback Process
Individuals are encouraged to provide feedback regarding accessibility barriers. Feedback
may be submitted to management and will be reviewed promptly.
Training
Employees and contractors will be informed of this policy and their responsibilities in supporting
accessible service delivery.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as required to reflect legislative changes and
organizational growth.
