Scott Ashley CCP(F)
President and CEO
Scott is the President and co-founder of Get Ready. Scott’s strong belief is to separate policies from procedures and truly “operationalize” these often complex, policy-based programs into response-ready capabilities. Scott has over twelve years experience in EMS from his early years as an EMT and paramedic in Banff, Los Angeles, and Toronto, and for eight years as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic on the Ontario Ministry of Health Air Ambulance helicopter service.

Since 2001, Scott has helped lead his team to develop Emergency Management, Business Continuity, and pandemic planning for all levels of government, hospitals, school boards, professional services firms, and Fortune 500 companies. Christel Hollinger Ivanyshyn ABCP, CMM II (EMP), Dipl MM
Vice-President, Client Services
Christel designs and develops the content for Get Ready’s incident management programs. She is also a part of the implementation team, ensuring our clients needs are met.
Christel has over 20 years of emergency response and emergency management experience, working for the chemical industry, municipal government, fire service, and healthcare.

Shawn Cowley BES, ABCP, CEMC
Business Resiliency Specialist
Shawn is an accomplished professional with over 17 years of experience in Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, and Emergency Management. Shawn took a significant leadership role in managing responses to events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, extreme weather events, and anticipated events such as the G7/G20 and the PanAm Games.

Shawn has a history of working collaboratively in the development and implementation of leading practice programs in both the private and public sectors. Currently, Shawn is pursuing a Masters of Business Continuity Professional Certification (DRII) and is studying to be a certified Home Inspector.
Julia Opie
Director of Business Development
Julia is responsible for building new account relations, identifying new business prospects, and securing new business contracts for Get Ready.
Julia has worked in sales and business development for over 20 years to bring health and safety products and services to clients, and customer support and service has remained a cornerstone of her work.
